Blake Lively has been accused of “paranoid” behaviour by a fan who claims the actress followed her outside to her car and filmed her licence plate after a chance encounter at a Texas hotel earlier this month.
Houston resident Kaitlyn Cooper shared her account with the Daily Mail, detailing a series of unusual run-ins with Lively at The Hotel 1928 in Waco on March 8.
Cooper was staying at the property with her mother when hotel staff hinted a VIP guest was on the premises. After dining in the hotel restaurant, a server allegedly confirmed the mystery guest was Lively, fresh off a promotional appearance at the SXSW festival for her new film Another Simple Favor.

Later that evening, Cooper said she spotted the Gossip Girl star in the lobby and began filming her discreetly to show friends. “She looked at us. I believe she spotted us [filming her],” Cooper recalled. Lively, dressed in jeans and a white shirt, appeared to cover her face when she noticed the camera and was then escorted by security.
Cooper claimed the situation escalated the next morning. While loading her car, she said Lively approached with her phone raised, as though recording. “I looked up, and see [Lively]. She’s got her phone up. Out of instinct, I just said ‘hi’ back, because what do you say?” Cooper said. “She circled my car and aimed the camera toward the licence plate.”
The actress then reportedly handed her phone to a security guard, who continued recording around the vehicle before they both returned inside. Cooper said she was left feeling disturbed and confused.
She later posted details of the encounter to her Instagram Story, which was viewed by several unidentified accounts, including one linked to the hotel and another believed to be part of Lively’s team.
