Nikki Glaser supports Ozempic for weight loss and slams critics: "You're upset that Kathy Bates has a thigh gap"

Nikki Glaser defends Ozempic use, calling out the stigma and critics, during her appearance on 'The Tonight Show'.

Comedian Nikki Glaser joined The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday night, where she discussed her upcoming role as host of the 2025 Golden Globes, her thoughts on the growing acceptance of Ozempic, and her take on plastic surgery stigma. In true Glaser style, the conversation was candid, humorous, and unfiltered.

Reflecting on the buzz surrounding Ozempic, a medication often used for weight loss, Glaser said, “Oh, I love it, I love. I’m like, do it, do it. I have no judgment.” She continued, “If you want to do Ozempic, hell yeah, girl. I want people to feel more comfortable talking about doing it, because I feel like there’s, like, this shame—and the shame is only from thin people who want you to stay fat.”

Glaser didn’t hold back as she challenged criticisms of the drug’s use, often framed around concern for diabetics. “They just go, ‘You’re stealing medicine from diabetics who need it.’ Like anyone’s ever cared about someone with diabetes who doesn’t have it,” she said, clarifying she does care but is critical of others' sudden outrage. “I think you’re upset that Kathy Bates has a thigh gap. That’s more what it could be about, I think.”

In addition to her commentary on Ozempic, Glaser also defended plastic surgery and shared a light-hearted moment from her recent travels, revealing an unfortunate mishap at the airport.

Nikki Glaser will return to host the 83rd annual Golden Globes, set for January 2026 on CBS and streaming on Paramount+.
