The Islamabad Food Authority (IFA) has conducted inspections of over 39 water plants, of which 30 met safety standards, while nine were shut down for violating health guidelines.
IFA Deputy Director Dr Tahira Siddique emphasised that the authority, alongside food safety teams, is intensifying efforts to ensure safe drinking water for residents. This follows recent tests that revealed contamination in samples from nine water filtration plants.
