Singer-songwriter Sia has filed for divorce from her husband, Daniel Bernard, after 26 months of marriage. Court documents obtained by TMZ reveal that Sia cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their split, listing the date of separation as Tuesday, March 18, 2025.

Alongside news of their separation, Sia also disclosed that she and Bernard had quietly welcomed a daughter, Somersault Wonder Bernard, 11 months ago. The revelation comes as a surprise, as the Chandelier singer has previously spoken about struggling with infertility during her first marriage to filmmaker Erik Anders Lang.

"We did a lot of IVF, but I still had unexplained infertility," Sia shared in a 2020 interview with InStyle. "Eventually, we did get embryos, but then we also got a divorce, so I wasn’t able to use them."

Sia is reportedly requesting legal and physical custody of Somersault but is open to Bernard having visitation rights. The couple, who were first spotted together in December 2021, tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana’s Villa Olivetta in Portofino, Italy, in December 2022.

Before welcoming her biological daughter, Sia adopted two teenage boys in 2019, giving them a home as they aged out of the foster care system. "I actually adopted two sons last year," she said in a 2020 interview. "They were both 18—they’re both 19 years old now. They’re finding it pretty difficult, one more so than the other. But they’re really doing a lot of educational stuff that’s good for them."

Sia has long kept her personal life private, rarely making public appearances without her signature face-covering wigs. While she has not yet commented publicly on the divorce, her legal filings mark the end of her marriage to Bernard, just months after the birth of their daughter.
