The FIA has launched an inquiry against actor and model Nadia Hussain under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) for allegedly making "baseless allegations" against the agency.
The development comes just a day after Nadia took to Instagram to claim that a man posing as an FIA officer attempted to defraud her. Her accusations surfaced days after her husband, Atif Khan, was arrested in a multi-million-rupee financial embezzlement case last week.
The actor alleged that a so-called "FIA officer" demanded Rs30 million as a bribe in exchange for her husband's bail.
