SZA has responded after Shannon Sharpe brought up her Brazilian butt lift (BBL) during a recent Club Shay Shay interview with R&B singer Coco Jones. In the interview, Sharpe mentioned that SZA had regretted getting the cosmetic procedure, a statement the Saturn artist addressed with a mix of humor and frustration on Instagram.

"Lmaooo now why would this be a question for coco. Poor baby she handled it well now Shay Shay," SZA commented on the clip, expressing her disbelief. She added in a follow-up comment, "Incredibly tacky.. I wanted to come here too dah well."

SZA’s remarks were sparked by Sharpe’s line of questioning about her BBL, which he referenced in the context of regret. While Coco Jones sidestepped the question, SZA took to Instagram to share her thoughts.

In a candid interview with British Vogue last November, SZA explained her mixed feelings about her decision to undergo the procedure. “I gained all this weight from being immobile while recovering and trying to preserve the fat,” she explained. “It was just so stupid. But who gives a fuck? You got a BBL, you realize you didn’t need the shit.”

Despite the regret, she also acknowledged the decision was something she wanted at the time, saying, “I love my butt. Don’t get me wrong. My booty look nice. And I’m grateful that it looks pretty much… I don’t know, sometimes natural, but I don’t even care.”

The five-time Grammy winner admitted that the procedure was not “super necessary” but also noted, “I need to get my fucking mental health together,” highlighting the importance of self-love. Despite her reflections, SZA continues to embrace her decision, enjoying the changes and feeling grateful for her body.

SZA isn’t the only celebrity to express discontent with Sharpe’s interviewing style. Comedian Mike Epps has previously refused to appear on Club Shay Shay, citing concerns over Sharpe’s questioning of white guests versus his treatment of others.
