Podcaster Adnan Faisal has claimed that actress Hania Aamir demanded a fee of Rs2 million to appear on his podcast.
Faisal, who has hosted around 500 episodes featuring a variety of political, social, and entertainment figures, shared this information during a show on a private TV channel.
Faisal explained that he has never paid any guest to appear on his podcast.
When he reached out to Hania Aamir for a potential appearance, she reportedly requested Rs2 million for her participation.
Although Faisal acknowledged that the amount may not be significant for a celebrity like Aamir, he chose not to proceed with the invitation.
He cited concerns that paying one guest could set a precedent, encouraging other celebrities to expect payment for appearing on the show.
Faisal added that many actors have appeared on his podcast without any financial demands, questioning why some should be compensated while others contribute without any monetary expectations.
In addition to addressing this issue, Faisal spoke about the Pakistani drama industry's need for reinvention. He suggested eliminating outdated themes such as extramarital affairs and the typical conflicts between mothers-in-law and daughters-in-law from television dramas.
Meanwhile, many on social media criticised the podcaster for disclosing private details about the superstar. Some users argued that Hania Aamir deserved every penny she asked for, adding that her time was undoubtedly worth the amount.
