At a March 7 court hearing in Seoul, ADOR and NJZ (NewJeans) faced off over an ongoing management dispute, with members Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein in attendance. The hearing focused on ADOR’s injunction request, originally filed in January, but the case took a new turn when Hanni publicly accused ADOR and HYBE of distorting her past messages in court.

After the hearing, Hanni publicly criticized ADOR and HYBE on Instagram, accusing them of manipulating her words to fit their narrative. “How can you take one part of a conversation and shift the meaning of it to benefit your point of view?” she wrote. She followed up with another statement, warning that while she had refrained from escalating the issue, she would not stay silent if further false claims were made.

Supporters quickly flooded social media, commending Hanni for taking a stand. Many criticized HYBE and ADOR, referencing past allegations of message fabrication and concerns over NJZ’s independence. Some fans pointed out that NJZ’s legal battle is centered on gaining autonomy from the label, while others accused ADOR of attempting to control the group’s narrative.

Meanwhile, ADOR’s legal team defended the company’s role in NewJeans’ success, citing HYBE’s 21 billion KRW investment, branding strategies, and promotional support. They argued that NJZ members lacked valid legal grounds to terminate their contracts. However, NJZ’s representatives countered by highlighting biased media coverage, conflicts with production teams, and alleged preferential treatment given to other HYBE artists.

With both sides presenting conflicting claims, the court’s decision could have major implications for NJZ’s future. Fans remain invested in the outcome as tensions between the group and ADOR escalate.
