Speaking with her The Electric State co-star Chris Pratt in a conversation with BuzzFeed UK, Brown explained that she chose to swap Bonnie for Bobby “for shits and giggles.” 

She also noted that she had never shared this detail publicly before, joking, “You heard it here first.”

Since rising to fame as Eleven in Netflix’s Stranger Things, Brown has built a lasting relationship with the streaming giant, starring in projects like Enola Holmes and Damsel. Her latest film, The Electric State, marks yet another collaboration with Netflix.

The revelation about her real name comes amid recent headlines regarding Brown’s response to media scrutiny about her changing looks. Earlier this week, she shared a video calling out certain media outlets for publishing articles about her appearance. The video prompted a public apology from comedian Matt Lucas, who she accused of making an insulting remark.

The Electric State, Brown’s latest Netflix project, features a star-studded cast, including Stanley Tucci, Giancarlo Esposito, and Oscar winner Ke Huy Quan. The Russo brothers-directed sci-fi adventure will premiere on Netflix on March 14, adding to Brown’s growing portfolio of high-profile projects.
