
Afghanistan all-rounder Azmatullah Omarzai has climbed to the top of the ICC Men’s ODI all-rounder rankings following a standout ICC Champions Trophy 2025 campaign.
The 24-year-old rose two spots to dethrone teammate Mohammad Nabi, who drops to second place. Omarzai’s career-high rating of 296 points comes after his match-winning performances, including a maiden five-wicket haul against England and a crucial half-century against Australia.
India’s Axar Patel also made significant gains, jumping 17 spots to 13th with a career-best 194 rating points.

India’s Shubman Gill remains the top-ranked ODI batter, while Virat Kohli moved up to fourth after his Player of the Match performance in the Champions Trophy semi-final against Australia.
Pakistan's Babar Azam retains No. 2 spot in batter rankings. Omarzai’s strong showing with the bat saw him move up 12 spots to 24th in the latest ODI batting rankings.
His teammate, Ibrahim Zadran, climbed 13 places to enter the top 10 after scoring 177 runs against England in Lahore.
Australia’s Steve Smith moved six spots to 16th, while New Zealand’s Kane Williamson gained eight places to reach 29th.
Matt Henry breaks into top 3 in bowling rankings
New Zealand’s Matt Henry rose three spots to third in the ODI bowling rankings, trailing Sri Lanka’s Maheesh Theekshana and South Africa’s Keshav Maharaj.
Mohammed Shami’s strong Champions Trophy performances propelled him to 11th place, while Marco Jansen (up nine spots to 18th) and Jofra Archer (up 13 spots to joint-19th) also made big gains.
Shaheen Shah Afridi retains No. 9 ranking among bowlers in ODI.
