
Hotels in Makkah and Madinah are preparing to welcome millions of pilgrims during Ramadan, with special decorations and services that offer guests a chance to immerse themselves in Saudi culture.
Mohammed Haris, a pilgrim from India, shared that his annual Ramadan experience in Saudi Arabia is truly unique, highlighting the distinct atmosphere and spirituality of the holy cities.
Elaf Al Taqwa Hotel in Madinah, located near the Prophet’s Mosque, has introduced several initiatives for Ramadan, including daily azan calls, dua recitations, and a specially curated menu for iftar and sahoor.
General Manager Hussain Rauff emphasized the hotel’s aim to create a spiritually enriching environment, offering exclusive Ramadan offerings such as a Ramadan bazaar with Islamic books, prayer mats, and local products, alongside a traditional seating area for guests to reflect over Saudi coffee and local delicacies.
The hotel also ensures guests’ well-being by keeping the gym open during Ramadan, and offers tours to historical sites in Madinah.
In Makkah, the Elaf group of hotels, located near the Grand Mosque, is preparing for an influx of guests, focusing on providing an enriching stay.
Hassan Khaleel, Regional Director for Makkah operations, emphasized the goal of enhancing pilgrims’ spiritual journeys. The Address Jabal Omar Makkah has opened a direct walkway to the Grand Mosque and offers traditional Saudi cuisine and a large iftar buffet.
Meanwhile, Frontel Al Harithia Hotel in Madinah has focused its efforts on providing a special sahoor experience. For those seeking deeper historical and spiritual connections, Ahmed Zahrani is offering tours to sacred sites in Makkah, such as Jabal Al-Rahmah, Namira Mosque, and Muzdalifah.
Zeyad Labban, Managing Director of Maad International Hajj and Umrah Services, mentioned their commitment to enhancing pilgrims’ comfort by providing comprehensive services, including accommodation, transport, and historic tours.
