Champions Trophy 2025: Will rain disrupt Pakistan vs Bangladesh dead rubber?

Both teams are already out of CT 2025

Pakistan will face Bangladesh in their final group-stage match of the Champions Trophy at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Thursday. Both teams, already eliminated from the tournament, will aim to finish their campaigns on a positive note, despite having no wins so far.

Pakistan, hosting an ICC event for the first time in 29 years, had high hopes but were knocked out after defeats to New Zealand and India. The match against Bangladesh offers them a chance to restore some pride.

Bangladesh, similarly, faced a tough run with losses to India and New Zealand, ending their hopes of advancing in the tournament. Although this game is a dead rubber, the weather forecast suggests rain could disrupt the contest.

Rain Threat in Rawalpindi

According to Accuweather, rain is expected to impact the match between Pakistan and Bangladesh. With temperatures around 18°C and a wind speed of 5 km/h, Rawalpindi will be cloudy with occasional rain in the afternoon and evening. This could potentially lead to interruptions, similar to the South Africa vs Australia match, which was abandoned at the same venue.

If the match is washed out, both teams will exit the Champions Trophy without a win.
