Chicago-based rapper Lil Durk is facing a wrongful death lawsuit filed by Andrea Laquila Robinson, the mother of Saviay’a Robinson, also known as Lul Pab. The lawsuit, submitted in Cook County Court, alleges that Lil Durk, his record label Only the Family (OTF), an unnamed business manager, and an affiliated company are responsible for orchestrating events leading to Lul Pab’s death.

The lawsuit stems from an incident in August 2022, when Lul Pab was fatally shot during an attack targeting Los Angeles rapper Quando Rondo. The complaint alleges that Lil Durk financed a murder-for-hire plot as retaliation for the 2020 killing of King Von, a close friend and collaborator. The attack, which took place at a gas station in West Hollywood, reportedly aimed at Quando Rondo but resulted in Lul Pab’s death instead.

Attorney Warren Postman, representing the Robinson family, stated:

“The untimely death of Mr. Robinson stunned his community and his family. We have filed this suit in an attempt to make those culpable take responsibility and support his family in these difficult circumstances.”

This lawsuit adds to Lil Durk’s ongoing legal troubles. In October 2024, he was arrested on federal charges, including conspiracy to commit murder-for-hire, related to the same incident. Prosecutors claim Lil Durk and five OTF associates planned the attack on Quando Rondo to avenge King Von’s death. The attempted shooting resulted in Lul Pab’s fatality.

Lil Durk has pleaded not guilty to the federal charges and remains detained in Los Angeles. His trial, originally scheduled for January 2025, has been postponed to October 2025. If convicted, he could face a life sentence.

The Robinson family is seeking justice and accountability through this lawsuit. The case could have significant implications for Lil Durk’s career and legal future as proceedings continue.
