Millie Bobby Brown turned heads at the world premiere of her new Netflix film, ‘The Electric State,’ in Los Angeles, but not for reasons she might have expected.
The newly blonde actress, who just celebrated her 21st birthday, was spotted sweetly holding hands with her 13-year-old sister, Ava Brown, as they left the event for a family dinner at Mother Wolf, an upscale Italian restaurant. However, her dramatically different appearance sparked an unexpected reaction online—many mistook her for someone much older.
Dressed in a comfy pink jacket, black pants, and plush piggy slippers, Brown’s new Pamela Anderson-inspired updo and fully contoured makeup look had fans doing double takes. Social media erupted with comments comparing her to Dolly Parton, Jennifer Coolidge, and even Ivana Trump.
One X user joked, "I thought Ivana Trump had risen from the back nine!" while another quipped, "Why did I think Dolly had a GOOD refresh done at first glance?" A third user added, "Baby I thought this was Jennifer Coolidge."

As images from the event circulated online, fans were quick to weigh in with memes and pop culture references. A User shared a side-by-side of Brown and Jennifer Coolidge with the caption, "Millie or Jennifer Coolidge?" Another user was left completely baffled by her transformation, tweeting, "Her stylist needs their ass beat cause why did I think this was a mom and her kid?"

Despite the online chatter, Brown appeared in good spirits, guiding Ava through a sea of photographers and excited fans. Ava, rocking a black top, white cargo pants, and sneakers, clutched a goodie bag of treats from the event as they made their way to dinner.
This premiere marks another milestone in Brown’s career. She stars in Joe and Anthony Russo’s $320M-budget sci-fi epic, ‘The Electric State,’ where she plays Michelle, an orphaned teen searching for her brother. The film, which features an all-star cast including Chris Pratt, Stanley Tucci, and Giancarlo Esposito, is set to premiere on March 14 on Netflix.
Alongside her Hollywood endeavors, Brown has also been making headlines for her personal life. She was joined at the event by her husband of nine months, Jake Bongiovi, the 22-year-old son of Jon Bon Jovi. The couple, who first went Instagram official as “BFFs” in 2021, have been inseparable ever since.
Brown, who wrapped filming on the final season of ‘Stranger Things’ in December, has several major projects lined up, including ‘Enola Holmes 3,’ which is expected to be her next venture.
Despite the internet’s mixed reactions, the actress remains unfazed. As she recently told People, “Be patient. Let the Duffers create what they've been doing for the last 10 years so beautifully. It is worth it, I promise.”
With a growing empire that includes her beauty brand, Florence by Mills, and a burgeoning fashion and coffee line, Brown is showing no signs of slowing down—even if fans still can’t believe how much she’s changed.
