Cops get physical remand of Armaghan

Police produced Armaghan in ATC Court No2 at Karachi Central Jail for presentation in four cases

KARACHI:

Significant progress has been made in the Mustafa Amir kidnapping and murder case. The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) has handed over the main suspect, Armaghan, to the Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCCC) on physical remand for four days.

Mustafa Amir was kidnapped, murdered and his body was burnt along with his car by the suspect.

Police produced Armaghan in ATC Court No2 at Karachi Central Jail for presentation in four cases, including the Mustafa Amir kidnapping case.

The court asked Armaghan if he had been tortured, to which he said yes.

The investigating officer (IO) requested a 30-day physical remand to conduct further interrogation, but the court approved on four days.

Hearing that police will get to phisically intgerrogate him in the dreaded remand room, Armaghan fainted and fell to the ground. Police sprinkled water on his face, but he remained unconscious.
