A mentally challenged man stabbed his sister-in-law to death in the Tarkhani area, while in a separate incident, a security guard shot and killed his colleague at a petrol pump following a minor altercation.
In the first incident, 35-year-old Muhammad Khalil, a resident of Chak 44 GB, attacked his 45-year-old sister-in-law, Parveen Bibi, wife of Shabbir, at their home.
Parveen sustained severe injuries and was rushed to THQ Hospital Gojra for treatment. However, she succumbed to her wounds.
Upon receiving the report, SHO Tarkhani Adil Gulfam reached the scene, arrested the accused, and recovered the murder weapon. The body was shifted to the hospital for a post-mortem, and an investigation has been initiated.
Meanwhile, in another incident, a security guard fatally shot his colleague after a minor dispute at a petrol pump.
The shooting occurred at around 2:30 am at Rana Petroleum near 240 Mor.
