Ty Dolla $ign cuts ties with Kanye West, deletes Instagram posts over Antisemitic controversy
Ty Dolla $ign has publicly distanced himself from Kanye West, removing all references to the rapper from his Instagram and stating, “I do not condone ANY form of hate speech towards ANYBODY.” The decision follows Ye’s latest antisemitic outbursts and controversial actions, including selling a swastika-themed $20 T-shirt on his Yeezy website and declaring, “I'm a N*zi ... I love Hitler.”
Ty Dolla $ign, who recently collaborated with Kanye on the Vultures 1 and Vultures 2 albums, also changed his profile picture to remove promotion of their joint project. His move comes amid mounting backlash against West, whose X account was deactivated following a series of antisemitic posts.
Adding to the controversy, Ye’s website was taken down by Shopify after the swastika-themed merchandise sparked outrage. The Anti-Defamation League condemned Kanye’s actions, stating, “Kanye was tweeting vile antisemitism nonstop since last week. There’s no excuse for this kind of behavior.”
West is also facing legal trouble, as a former Jewish employee of Yeezy LLC filed a lawsuit accusing him of workplace antisemitism, alleging he frequently referred to himself as a “N*zi” and sent messages such as, “Welcome to the first day of working for Hitler.”
While Ty Dolla $ign previously hinted at another joint project with Ye, its release is now uncertain. Other celebrities, including Charlie Puth, Lyor Cohen, and Friends star David Schwimmer, have also condemned West’s antisemitic tirade.
