South Africa has also been affected, with pacer Gerald Coetzee now out of the tournament due to a hamstring injury. His absence will be felt, leaving a big gap in the South African bowling attack.

Mitchell Starc has withdrawn from Australia's squad for the Champions Trophy 2025, citing personal reasons. His absence adds to the significant number of changes already made to Australia's provisional squad.

Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis had announced his decision to retire from ODI cricket, ruling him out of the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy. Cricket Australia confirmed that Stoinis would remain available to represent the Australian cricket team in the T20I format.

Anrich Nortje, another key South African bowler, is also ruled out of the tournament due to back injury.
