Marlon Wayans has slammed Soulja Boy for using homophobic and transphobic slurs against him and his transgender son, Kai.
The feud escalated Wednesday when Soulja, 34, posted a hateful message on X (formerly Twitter), writing, “That f—-t s–t run in the family huh? @MarlonWayans no wonder u like dressing up as a b—h, it’s in ur blood.” The rapper also shared screenshots of stories about Wayans’ support for his son’s transition.

Wayans, 52, wasted no time firing back. “If @souljaboy had a career, he could get canceled for this type of slander,” he wrote, “Luckily, he ain’t been relevant since 2007.”

Soulja Boy, best known for his 2007 hit “Crank That (Soulja Boy),” has struggled to maintain mainstream success, with his last Billboard Hot 100 entry in 2010.
Meanwhile Wayans first revealed Kai’s transition in 2023, sharing his journey as a supportive parent. “I have a daughter that transitioned into a son. My daughter Amai is now Kai,” Wayans said on The Breakfast Club. “It was a painful process for me, but I’ve embraced unconditional love and acceptance.”
This isn’t the first clash between Wayans and Soulja. In January, Wayans mocked the rapper for performing at Donald Trump’s inaugural event, claiming he was desperate for a paycheck.
Despite the online attacks, Wayans remains focused on advocating for LGBTQ+ rights and standing by his son.
