KARACHI:

A woman was burnt to death, while her two children sustained severe burns in a house fire in Bagh-e-Korangi.

The ground floor of the house was completely destroyed, and fire brigade officials attributed the cause to a short circuit. The deceased woman was identified as Gulshan, wife of Rashid and the injured children were identified as Asma and Ahmed. They are currently treated at a hospital.

In another incident, a fire broke out in a vehicle near Hawkes Bay and injured two people. The affected individuals, 17-year-old Shahid and 30-year-old Amir were transported to the Civil Hospital's Burns Ward. The fire broke out during welding activity as reported by fire brigade officials.

Meanwhile, goods worth millions of rupees were burnt to ashes in a mobile market shop in Korangi No. four. Fortunately, no casualties were reported, but the financial loss is being estimated. Cause of fire could not be determined immediately.
