Rapper Kanye West has claimed that his recent series of provocative tweets were part of a “social experiment” to test whether he would retain his Twitter account and financial status. The musician, also known as Ye, made the assertion after engaging in a 12-hour spree of posts that drew significant public attention and backlash.

According to HotNewHipHop, West shared a video explaining that he was personally responsible for the tweets, dismissing any speculation that his account had been hacked. He described the posts as a way to “purge” and express his views, which included commentary on social movements, free speech, and public figures. Additionally, he criticized what he referred to as “woke” culture and referenced the #MeToo movement.

In a follow-up tweet, West declared that he had “won” the experiment, stating, “I tweeted pretty much everything I felt like for about 12 hours and I still have my Twitter. And most importantly, my billions.” He then addressed various groups, including Black women, LGBTQ+ individuals, Jews, and internet trolls, adding a note of thanks to Twitter owner Elon Musk.

Following this declaration, West continued his Twitter spree, turning his focus toward comedian Dave Chappelle, launching criticisms that added to the controversy. His remarks fueled further debate about his ongoing use of social media and whether his actions are a calculated effort to stay in the spotlight.

While some speculate whether West will eventually move on from these rants, others question the impact they might have on his future projects, including his upcoming music releases. West has faced similar criticism in the past for incendiary remarks that strained relationships with fans and industry peers.
