Sean "Diddy" Combs has broken his silence after Kanye West publicly called for his release from prison. The hip-hop mogul, who remains incarcerated at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn on serious charges, took to Instagram to express gratitude for West’s unexpected support.
“Thank you to my brother @Ye,” Diddy wrote, sharing a link to the Yeezy website, where West announced a collaboration between Yeezy and Diddy’s Sean John brand. The move shocked fans, as the two had previously clashed over West’s controversial “White Lives Matter” merchandise in 2022.
West’s posts, which included a passionate plea to Trump for Diddy’s freedom, also revealed that he plans to split the profits from their Yeezy x Sean John collaboration 50/50, since Diddy is unable to collect money while behind bars.
Diddy’s brief but appreciative response signaled a shift in their relationship, despite their past disagreements. However, West’s involvement has been met with backlash, as his posts also contained racial slurs and inflammatory remarks targeting the Jewish community and Diageo, the alcohol company Diddy sued before his arrest.
