Making a Run For It: ‘Murderer’ flees once court rejects bail

SIALKOT: Additional district and sessions judge Malik Bashir rejected the bail application of seven accused involved in a murder case in village Sahuwali on Wednesday. According to the prosecution, Raza Subhani and six others had tortured and killed Mubashir and injured Rizwan on July 8, 2011 in Sahuwali. The police registered a case against ten accused including Subhani and arrested six men. After a thorough investigation, three accused were released on benefit of doubt. The accused had applied for bail which was rejected by the court. After rejection of his bail application, Subhani fled the scene. The plaintiff’s counsel, M Azhar Chaudhry, alleged that Subhani fled with the collusion of police officials.
