A clash between two groups over an honour dispute in the Taman Khosa area of Kashoba police jurisdiction resulted in the deaths of five people.
Following the incident, Border Military Police (BMP) Commandant Muhammad Asad Khan Chandia deployed additional police forces in the area to restore order.
The conflict began when members of the Ladi gang, led by Rashid Karcho, allegedly killed Hanif Jandani over an honor-related dispute.
In retaliation, Rashid Karcho and his armed associates stormed the area and killed Hayat Aliani Halti to avenge his brother's murder.
This triggered an
intense gunfight between the Jandani and Aliani tribes, leading to the deaths of three more individuals: Sacha Jarwar, Roshni Makol, and Aziz Jandani.
Amid growing tensions and continued firing from entrenched positions, BMP Commandant Muhammad Asad Khan Chandia deployed additional forces from four police stations to bring the situation under control.
Meanwhile, Kashoba police station SHO Muhammad Younis Khosa is holding negotiations with tribal elders to de-escalate the conflict.
As of the latest reports, the bodies remained at the scene, and tensions in the area were still high.
Authorities are closely monitoring the situation to prevent further violence.
Earlier in June 2023, four people belonging to the Bannu tribe were killed during an armed clash with the Dulani tribe in Rojhan.
MNA Sardar Riaz Mahmood Khan Mazari had made peace between the two tribes.
However, the peace could not last long.
The clash started with the killing of a man, Ibrahim Bannu, who was standing at a medical store near the Rojhan City Municipal Committee.
Ibrahim was allegedly shot dead by members of the Dulani tribe.
After the incident, tension between the two tribes flared up again in the area.
There was an exchange of fire between the Bannu and Dulani tribes in which four people died.
A local police spokesman said that the cause behind the outbreak of hostility between the two tribes was an incident of murder.
