A former Grand Theft Auto developer has offered new insights into the current state of GTA 6's development, providing fans with a glimpse into the progress of the highly anticipated title.

It’s been over a year since Rockstar Games unveiled the first trailer for GTA 6, but the developers have remained notably silent, keeping details under wraps.

This silence has led GTA fans to comb through the trailer and GTA Online, seeking any hidden information. Former Rockstar animator Mike York recently shared some information about the game's development with YouTuber Kiwi Talkz, before the interview was removed by Rockstar’s legal team.

According to York, while some new elements may still be added, GTA 6 is likely “playable” at this stage, with various team members currently testing the game in full.

York also acknowledged the inevitable bugs that come with developing expansive open-world games like GTA 6, noting that the team is actively working to identify and fix these issues before release.

While Rockstar's silence has fueled concerns about potential delays, York’s statement that the game is already playable suggests that the development is progressing smoothly, easing some fan worries about a delayed launch.
