Reality TV star Jack Fincham has been sentenced to six weeks in prison after pleading guilty to allowing his dog to be dangerously out of control, leading to injury.
The 32-year-old Love Island winner appeared at Southend-on-Sea Magistrates’ Court, where he admitted to the charge.
The case stemmed from an incident in September 2022, when Fincham’s black Cane Corso, named Elvis, bit a man, Robert Sudell, in Swanley, Kent. Fincham also faced a second charge related to a separate incident in Grays, Essex, in June 2024, though no injuries were reported in that case.
In addition to his prison sentence, Fincham has been ordered to pay a total of £3,680 in legal costs and compensation. This includes a £200 compensation fee to Sudell and a £50 payment to a second victim. A payment plan has been arranged for Fincham to contribute £400 per month upon his release from jail.
Fincham was supported in court by his brother, parents, and on-off girlfriend, The Only Way Is Essex star Chloe Brockett. Brockett reportedly broke down in tears upon hearing the magistrates' verdict.
The sentencing follows previous legal troubles for Fincham, who rose to fame after winning Love Island in 2018. The court emphasized the seriousness of the offense, stating that allowing a dangerously out-of-control dog to cause harm posed a significant risk to public safety.
Fincham has not yet publicly commented on the ruling.
