Man arrested for harassing women in Lahore after getting caught on CCTV

A man was arrested by Lahore Police after a video surfaced showing him engaging in inappropriate behavior with women.

The CCTV footage clearly depicts the suspect, Allah Rakha, making inappropriate gestures towards a woman before fleeing the scene.

According to reports, the suspect was apprehended by Gulberg Police late at night after the authorities used CCTV footage to track him down.

The arrest took place near Liberty Market, where he was taken into custody.

Lahore Police confirmed that, under the orders of SP Model Town, a case was registered, and swift action was taken to apprehend the accused.

The incident occurred two days ago on Ghalib Road, where the suspect harassed a woman on her way home from work during the night.

The CCTV footage showed Allah Rakha performing the inappropriate act and fleeing immediately afterward.

SP Model Town, Ikhlaq Ullah Tarar, stated that under Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s “Never Again” policy, clear instructions have been issued.

He emphasised that those who exploit women in any way will not be shown any leniency.

The arrest sends a strong message regarding the authorities' commitment to ensuring the safety of women in the city.
