Central Cee reveals why his Drake collab didn’t make 'Can’t Rush Greatness'

Despite fan anticipation, Central Cee reveals he chose to hold back his track with Drake.

Central Cee is making waves with his debut album, CAN'T RUSH GREATNESS, which dropped last Friday, boasting 17 tracks and high-profile collaborations with Skepta, Lil Durk, Dave, Lil Baby, and 21 Savage.

The album has been met with positive reviews, with standout songs like CRG, BAND4BAND, and GBP leading the charge. As momentum builds, Central Cee has been keeping fans engaged with a music video for his Lil Durk collaboration, which has already racked up 1.3 million views and is trending at No. 11 on YouTube.

Adding to the excitement, Cench has announced a worldwide arena tour, kicking off in Europe and the UK on April 1 before heading to North America in May, and wrapping up in Australia and New Zealand in July. However, while CAN'T RUSH GREATNESS is shaping up to be a chart-topping success, some fans were left puzzled by the absence of one major collaboration.

Many speculated that Central Cee would feature Drake on the album, given their strong friendship and previous collaboration on their viral On The Radar freestyle. In a recent interview with FunX, Cench confirmed that he and Drake do have a song together, but he deliberately chose to leave it off the project. "I don’t like it when people can guess these kinds of things right away," he explained. "A lot of people didn’t see it coming that Drake is not on the album."

Rather than following expectations, Central Cee is playing the long game, opting to "save" the track for a later moment. While the decision has left some fans disappointed, it also builds anticipation for when the long-awaited song will finally be released.
