Charli XCX has reportedly pulled out of performing at the 2024 BRIT Awards, despite leading the nominations.
The singer, 32, had been in discussions with organizers for months but ultimately decided to withdraw from the event. According to The Sun, Charli opted out due to the demands of preparing for her upcoming Grammy Awards performance on February 4.
An insider revealed that while Charli had been set to take the stage, she felt the additional performance at the BRITs would be too much pressure. "She has planned a major performance at the Grammys, and the thought of doing the same again at the BRITs felt like it was too much," the source stated.

Instead, former Little Mix member Jade Thirlwall is expected to perform in her place.
Despite stepping back from performing, Charli still plans to attend the BRIT Awards, which will take place on March 1 at London’s O2 Arena. She reportedly wants to enjoy the night without the pressure of delivering a live performance. The event will be hosted by comedian Jack Whitehall, with this year’s trophy designed by artist Gabriel Moses.
Charli XCX’s latest album, Brat, became a major cultural moment in 2023, with its signature slime green aesthetic and viral Apple Dance trend on TikTok. Her success has translated into five BRIT Award nominations, including Song of the Year for "Guess" featuring Billie Eilish, Artist of the Year, Dance Act, Pop Act, and Album of the Year.
While Charli has chosen to focus on her Grammy performance, anticipation remains high for the BRIT Awards, which continue to celebrate the biggest names in British music.
