The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has fixed for hearing an appeal against the acquittal of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi in 'Iddat Nikkah' case on Monday.
The newly appointed IHC Judge Azam Khan will hear the appeal of Khawar Manika, ex-husband of Bushra Bibi. Manika had challenged the verdict announced by the Additional Sessions judge on July 13, 2024.
The District and Sessions Court had acquitted Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi by accepting their appeals against the verdict announced by Civil Judge Qudratullah, who had sentenced the couple for seven years each.
