The city experienced a chilly morning on Saturday, with different weather stations recording varying temperatures.
According to official data, the temperature at the government weather station was recorded at 12 degrees Celsius, with the lowest temperature of 11 degrees Celsius recorded at Jinnah Terminal.
Under the influence of a western system entering Pakistan, the weather on Saturday morning was cold and dry.
The other stations recorded varying temperatures: 12 degrees Celsius at Jinnah Terminal, 13.5 on Sharea Faisal, 14 at Mauripur, and 14.2 degrees Celsius at the Bin Qasim weather station.
In rural Sindh, the lowest temperature was recorded at 2.5 degrees Celsius in Mithi.
According to the forecast of the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) Early Warning Centre (EWC), a cold wave may persist during the morning and night hours, however, the weather may remain moderate due to sunshine during the day.
Due to northeasterly winds blowing in the city during the next few days, the minimum temperature is expected to be 9 to 11 degrees Celsius.
