Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif chaired a special meeting to review recommendations for the launch of the ‘Nigahban Ramadan Relief Package,’ aimed at supporting underprivileged families across the province during Ramadan.
CM Nawaz emphasised that the relief package is both a right for the needy and a government responsibility. She also highlighted that the distribution should be dignified, with no long queues for the public.
Citizens can register for the package either online through the PSER portal or at over 4,000+ registration centers across the province, located at union councils and municipal offices.
The deadline for registration is set for February 15. The online registration process requires applicants to provide personal details and create a login password for future use.
The launch of the online portal and helpline aims to ensure transparency and accessibility for all eligible families.
Eligibility criteria: Who is eligible?
To qualify for the Nigahban Ramadan Relief Package, households must meet these criteria: a poverty score below 30%, a monthly income under 60,000 PKR, and the head of the household must have a valid CNIC.
The family must be permanent residents of Punjab, with no members living abroad and no vehicles registered in the head of household’s name.
For registration, applicants can either visit the PSER portal to complete their details online or go to one of the 4,000+ registration centers across Punjab.
