Billy Ray Cyrus has announced a new album set to release this summer, created in collaboration with his son, Braison Cyrus.

The ‘Achy Breaky Heart’ singer shared his excitement for the project, calling it a "special" one and expressing pride in working on it with Braison throughout 2024. The album marks Billy Ray’s first major release since his 2019 album ‘The SnakeDoctor Circus’.

Braison, who also expressed his appreciation for the experience, revealed that working with his father has allowed him to connect with Billy Ray on a deeper level. This positive collaboration contrasts with the recent criticism from Billy Ray's other son, Trace Cyrus. Trace publicly slammed his father, describing him as an absent parent and suggesting he may be struggling with addiction.

While Billy Ray has yet to respond directly to Trace’s accusations, Braison seemed to counter his brother's remarks, emphasizing that family and stories are important to their father. Billy Ray and Braison performed together at the Grand Ole Opry last year, highlighting their strong relationship.

There has been no official release date for the new album, but it will be Billy Ray's first new project since his chart-topping collaboration on 'Old Town Road' with Lil Nas X in 2019.
