Whales College won the Quaid-e-Azam Cup Inter-collegiate Basketball Tournament by defeating Credo College by 30-38 points.
In the final, Andre Turner scored 10 points for the winning team, Hadi Ali and Hamza Khan scored 8 points each. Naufal Khan scored 9 points, Ali Iqbal scored 8 points and Muhammad Naqi scored 6 points for the losing team.
Andre Turner was declared the best player of the tournament.
In the final, Pakistan Navy's Nazakat Khan, Khawar and Imran Ali Dogar acted as referees, while Zulfiqar Abbas Khan, Muhammad Usman and Naeem Ahmed performed the duties of technical officials.
On this occasion, Commissioner Karachi's Director of Sports, Ghulam Muhammad Khan distributed the prizes.
The final was also witnessed by renowned basketball player Talha Amjad Ali Khan, Sports Organizer Khalida Iftikhar and Head of the College Sports Department Taha Hassan.
On this occasion, Ghulam Muhammad assured all possible cooperation to the players and sports organisers on behalf of Commissioner Karachi Syed Hassan Naqvi.
Meanwhile, the KBBA also announced the staging of annual basketball tournament, the Kashmir Cup for both boys and girls.
Tournament committee chairman Zulfiqar Abbas Khan said on Thursday that the last date for confirmation of teams for the event is January 31st while the draws will be taken out on Feb 1st.
