A teenage girl and her friend were gunned down by the girl's father in a house in Rafa-e-Aam Housing Society, Malir.
According to the police, the incident appears to be a case of honour killing. Police arrested girl's father, Azhar, on charges of double murder and recovered a weapon. SHO Al Falah Police Station, Muhammad Ali Marwat, said the deceased girl was identified as 18-year-old Fatima while her friend was identified as 20-year-old Ashiq Ali Solangi.
According to initial reports, Fatima's father had found her and Solangi at the rooftop in compromising condition and shot them in fit of rage. The youngsters had one bullet to the head each. Azhar surrendered to the police with his pistol. Fatima, a drop-out of school, was laid to rest in Al-Falah Cemetery. Body of Solangi was received by his cousin Zafar who has taken it to Badin for burial. Solangi's family refused to pursue any legal action.
