Ashley Adionser and Tyler Francis, stars of Netflix's Love Is Blind season 7, have decided to end their marriage after just over a year.

The couple, who met and wed on the show, have been separated for several weeks.

"After much reflection, I want to share that Tyler and I have been separated for several weeks and have now made the difficult decision to end our marriage," Ashley tells PEOPLE magazine in a statement. "While I had hoped for mutual understanding and transparency in our relationship, it has become clear that our paths are no longer aligned, making it impossible for me to continue in this marriage."

Ashley expressed that the decision was made for her personal growth and peace, and she asked for privacy as she focuses on healing and moving forward.

The pair initially formed a strong connection on the show, but their relationship faced challenges after Tyler revealed he was a sperm donor with three biological children. He claimed he had no relationship with them, but it was later revealed that Tyler had been involved with the children more than he had disclosed, including spending time with them during the holiday season. Allegations surfaced that Tyler owed child support and had abandoned his children to participate in the show.

At the Love Is Blind season 7 reunion, Tyler clarified his actions, stating he helped a friend start a family and had stepped in to care for the children after a family issue arose. He admitted to lying about not knowing what his children looked like to protect their privacy.

Ashley, in turn, defended herself against claims she was blindsided, asserting that she had been aware of the situation but that Tyler chose not to share certain details on camera.

Love Is Blind seasons 1-7 are now streaming on Netflix, and season 8 is set to premiere on February 14.
