US President Donald Trump's love for the 70s disco classic "YMCA" was on full display at the Commander-in-Chief ball on January 20, just hours after his inauguration as the 47th President. At the event, Trump was handed a ceremonial sword for a cake-cutting ceremony, but things took an unexpected turn when he started dancing to the upbeat song by the Village People.
Melania and their son Barron also joined Trump on the dance floor, further adding to the spectacle. The song, which had become synonymous with Trump’s election rallies, played in the background as he moved with the sword, creating a lighthearted and somewhat unorthodox moment in the middle of the formal ball.
Though the dance brought smiles, it contrasted with the more serious duties that followed. Later that day, Trump signed 80 executive orders reversing key policies from the previous administration, including reimposing work-from-office requirements and withdrawing from the Paris Climate Agreement.
