Former reality TV star Spencer Pratt has revealed a remarkable financial outcome following the devastating Palisades fire that destroyed his Malibu home in early January 2025.
Known for his role in MTV’s The Hills, Pratt and his wife Heidi Montag experienced the loss of their home during one of Southern California's worst wildfires. Despite the destruction, Pratt has seen significant support from his fans on TikTok, documenting his family’s rebuilding journey.
In an interview with Variety, Pratt shared that he earned $4,000 from regular TikTok videos and an astounding $20,000 from TikTok Live streams, where followers can donate directly. "That’s phenomenal and life-changing," Pratt said. "The power of individual supporters... just actual human beings just want to give," he added, expressing gratitude for the support.
Since the fire, Pratt has gained 1 million new followers on TikTok, doubling his previous following, as fans rallied behind him and Montag. Meanwhile, Montag’s 2010 song "I’ll Do It" gained new popularity, thanks to fans and The Hills co-stars streaming it to help the couple.
Despite the financial boost, Pratt admitted to "faking positivity" amid the crisis, but he remains optimistic about the future. With the Palisades fire still only 50% contained, many in Southern California face recovery, and influencers like Pratt are leading fundraising efforts to aid others in need.
