Fast track passport facility now available in 26 more cities

The Directorate General of Immigration and Passports has announced a major expansion of its 'Fast Track' passport facility, aiming to improve public access to expedited passport processing services.

Originally offered in just seven major cities—Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, and Quetta—the service has now been extended to 47 locations across the country.

The latest expansion adds 26 new cities to the Fast Track service network, bringing the total to 47.

The newly included cities are Attock, Haripur, Chakwal, Batkhela, Sargodha, Swabi, Bhalwal, Nowshera, Hafizabad, Karak, Mianwali, Mansehra, Bhakar, Muzaffarabad, Kohat, Mirpur (AJK), DI Khan, Bagh, Swat, Rawalakot, Abbottabad, Kotli, Bannu, Sudhanoti, Hangu, and Bhimber.

This expansion is part of an ongoing effort to make the passport application process faster and more accessible for citizens in these regions.

The Directorate General has directed zonal heads to ensure that the newly added locations begin offering the Fast Track services without delay.

Additionally, the Director (Databases) has been tasked with updating the Passport Processing System (PPS) to reflect these changes and include the new cities in the Fast Track category.

The notification, which was issued by Assistant Director (Policy-I) Hafiz Abdul Nasir, has been circulated to all relevant authorities, including the Director General of Pakistan Post, to ensure proper implementation and widespread awareness of the expanded service.

With this move, the Directorate General aims to provide more efficient passport processing, significantly reducing waiting times for applicants across the newly added cities.
