Meghan Markle faces bullying allegations and "Mean Girls" behavior claims in new Vanity Fair profile

Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, is facing allegations of mistreatment and "Mean Girls" behavior in a recent profile published by Vanity Fair. According to sources who worked closely with Markle, she reportedly exhibited a pattern of being "warm and effusive" toward staff initially, but would later turn "cold and withholding" when something went wrong, often due to demands made by her and Prince Harry.

A source involved in media projects claimed that Markle played "checkers" with her staff, constantly aware of her position relative to others. The source alleged that when someone was no longer in her favor, they were "thrown to the wolves," engaging in behavior described as "undermining" and "talking behind your back."

Despite these accusations, some individuals who worked closely with the Sussexes have defended them. Jane Marie, a producer who worked on Archewell audio projects, described Meghan as "a lovely, genuine person." Other staff members, such as Josh Kettler, Harry's chief of staff for a brief time, and Ben Browning, former head of content at Archewell, also praised the couple, highlighting their warmth and dedication.

Additionally, Meghan's PR chief, Ashley Hansen, who is leaving Archewell to start her own firm, expressed gratitude for the care and concern Meghan and Harry showed her during her surgery recovery, including sending flowers and gifts.

The profile also referenced past allegations of bullying during Meghan's time at Kensington Palace. However, representatives for Meghan and Harry have denied these claims, with staff loyal to the couple describing them as "caring" bosses who provided thoughtful gestures such as baby clothes and care packages.
