Actress Victoria Anastasi, known for her role as Samantha Collins in the 2018 faith-based film 'Restoration', has passed away.

Anastasi, who also made cameo appearances in popular TV shows like 'Veep' and 'House of Cards', died over the weekend of January 10-12. Anastasi’s long-time friend, Alexis Miller, confirmed the news via social media, revealing that the actress succumbed to Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (CJD), a hereditary condition in her family.

Born in La Plata, Maryland, Anastasi developed an early passion for acting, inspired by her connection to legendary actress Katharine Hepburn. She began acting at eight years old and pursued her dreams throughout her teenage years, eventually studying theatre at La Plata High School. After completing her college education, she moved to North Carolina and later to Atlanta, Georgia, where she continued her acting career.

Anastasi's most notable role came in 'Restoration', a film about a high school wrestler in need of a coach, which allowed her to showcase her talent. Directed by Jeremiah McLamb, the film received mixed reviews but earned praise from audiences, securing several award nominations and wins, including the Inspired Faith Award at the Inspired Faith Film Festival.

Throughout her career, Anastasi remained dedicated to her craft and was beloved by friends, family, and fans alike. She is remembered for her talent, ambition, and kind-hearted nature.
