BATTAGRAM:

The mystery surrounding the murder of a woman in the Malikal Gali area within the Shamlai police station limits has been solved.

The police have revealed that the woman was killed by her father with the help of his accomplices in an attempt to seize her property.

Three suspects have been arrested, along with the murder weapon.

DPO Battagram Ayaz Khan briefed the media, explaining that three days ago, Raj Wali accused his son-in-law, Mumtaz, of killing his daughter.

An investigation team, led by DSP Shaheen and including Sub-Inspector Tauqeer, was formed.

The team arrested Mumtaz, who, during interrogation, revealed that his uncles, Raj Wali and Qasim, along with his cousins, Memrez and Mustafa, had previously killed his father and seized his land, displacing his children.

Mumtaz's wife had inherited some of the land and was living on it, and the suspects conspired to kill her.

Based on his statement, the police arrested the victim's father, Raj Wali, Mustafa son of Shah Zar, and Memrez son of Sheikh Wali, and included them in the investigation.

During questioning, the suspects confessed to killing Meherunisa. The murder weapon was also recovered following the identification provided by the accused.
