Abducted man's account drained of Rs2.5m

The victim's brother has accused the police of failing to act promptly in the case.

It has been revealed that Rs2.5 million was withdrawn through an ATM from the account of one of three individuals who were abducted two months ago from Taxila.

The money was withdrawn at various times, allegedly as ransom for the abduction. The victim's brother has accused the police of failing to act promptly in the case.

A police report has been filed, and investigations are underway. According to Amanat Khan, his father, Muqarrab Khan, and two brothers, Dulat Khan and Sohbat Khan, were abducted on the night of November 14, 2024, from their home in Mohallah Kohistan Colony, Taxila.

Unknown officials forcibly entered their house and abducted them. The incident was immediately reported to the police. However, no immediate action was taken.

Later, the complainant discovered that an amount of over Rs2.5m had been withdrawn from Dulat Khan's account as ransom money through ATM.
