The controversy surrounding Minecraft YouTubers continues to escalate as Tobias "Tubbo" weighed in on the ongoing feud between Clay "Dream" and Thomas "TommyInnit."
Tubbo criticized Dream’s recent comments, including his use of the R-word to describe TommyInnit’s fanbase and accusations of Tommy lacking “backbone.”
In his Twitch broadcast, Tubbo defended Tommy, saying:
“To say he has no backbone just shows how you never fking knew him as a person. Tommy has integrity, and when he found out how certain people were as actual individuals, he cut them off.”**
Tubbo also addressed Dream’s conduct in the Dream SMP Discord server, alleging that inappropriate conversations occurred when he was a minor. He reflected on feeling uncomfortable at the time but only realizing their inappropriateness in hindsight.
“It rubs me the wrong way,” Tubbo said.
The streamer went on to accuse Dream of crossing personal boundaries, particularly regarding Dream contacting TommyInnit’s mother after a video critique. Tubbo described it as a “crazy betrayal of trust.”
Dream, in his January 12 broadcast, clarified his reasons for contacting Tommy’s mother, stating it stemmed from criticism of her son. However, this admission has only added fuel to the ongoing drama.
As tensions rise, Tubbo’s statements have resonated with many fans, intensifying scrutiny of Dream’s actions and reigniting debates about accountability in the Minecraft streaming community.
