In a significant move to ensure timely passport issuance, Director General of Immigration and Passports, Mustafa Jamal Qazi, has announced that passport delivery counters across all cities will now operate 24/7.

In directives issued to zonal heads of the Directorate of Immigration and Passports, citizens have been informed that they can collect their passports anytime from the country’s 227 passport offices.

“This decision has been taken to ensure prompt delivery of passports to citizens,” said Qazi, adding that the backlog of passport issuance across the country has been completely cleared.

He urged citizens to visit the relevant Regional Passport Offices (RPOs) to collect their passports and to report any delays in the issuance process.

The initiative aims to improve public service efficiency and enhance accessibility to passport facilities nationwide.
