Netflix's Bridgerton returns to the SAG Awards with two nominations: Outstanding Ensemble and Nicola Coughlan's first nod.
Season 3, which follows Penelope Featherington (Coughlan) and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton), also revealed Lady Whistledown’s secret identity.
Jonathan Bailey, one of Bridgerton’s standout stars, emerged as the most-nominated individual this year. He received three SAG nominations, including individual and ensemble recognition for Wicked, as well as being part of Bridgerton’s ensemble.
Coughlan shared her excitement on Instagram, calling the nomination a “lovely early birthday present.” She expressed pride in the Bridgerton cast and thanked the SAG Awards for the honor.
Season 3 aired in two parts during May and June, making it ineligible for the 2024 Emmys, but it could see further recognition at the 2025 ceremony. Bridgerton, based on Julia Quinn’s novels, has completed production on its fourth season, ensuring fans will have more drama and romance to anticipate.
With its third season returning to awards prominence, Bridgerton continues to solidify its place as a cultural phenomenon, while Bailey’s rising star highlights the series’ impact on its cast.
