In a significant development in the Liam Payne death case, a hotel worker accused of supplying drugs to the late singer has surrendered to authorities after evading capture.

Ezequiel David Pereyra, 21, turned himself in through his lawyer following a manhunt triggered by his failure to comply with court orders, The Sun reports.

Labelled a fugitive, Pereyra was sought by police at his residence on Buenos Aires' outskirts, workplaces, and other known locations after an arrest warrant was issued.

Pressure mounted after police surveillance operations at multiple addresses, leading to his surrender.

The former One Direction singer tragically passed away on October 16, 2024, after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires.

His death shocked fans worldwide, and investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident continue.

Earlier, Argentine police have arrested Braian Paiz, 24, one of two men accused of supplying drugs to British singer Liam Payne before his tragic death in October 2024.

Prosecutors allege that Payne, 31, consumed cocaine, alcohol, and antidepressants before falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires.

Paiz, who denies the charges, was indicted alongside four others, three of whom face manslaughter charges.

Payne’s death, linked to his struggles with fame and substance abuse, prompted global grief and tributes from fans and former bandmates.

Payne rose to fame with One Direction but described his boyband years as isolating.
