A woman and her son were killed while four others got injured in a road accident, a police press release said on Saturday. Mohammad Akram, a resident of Dhab Loharan Village, while passing the Harar Chowk at Chakwal-Mandra Road, was hit by a trailer coming from the other side. Akram died on the spot while his mother Aziza Baigum, Malik Bano, her daughter Rizwana Firdos, and two other persons on a motorcycle, Haji Manzur Hussain and his son Sajid Hussain, residents of Mona Village, were also injured. Dhudial Police have arrested the driver of the trailer, Mohammad Imran from Mianwali. The injured were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital by Rescue 1122. Aziza Begum and Manzur Hussain were referred to Rawalpindi due to their critical condition. However Aziza died on the way to Rawalpindi. Police have also impounded the trailer.
