8 injured in hospital elevator collapse

The injured were immediately shifted to nearby hospitals for medical treatment.

Eight women sustained injuries when an elevator malfunctioned and fell in a private hospital in Iqbal Town on Friday.

The injured were immediately shifted to nearby hospitals for medical treatment.

According to initial reports, the women had come to visit a patient at the hospital and were using the elevator when it suddenly malfunctioned, causing it to crash.

The injured include Yasmin, Sobia, Farah, Shumaila, Naila, Samira, Sadia, and Goshi, who suffered injuries to various parts of their bodies.

Rescue services transported the injured to Jinnah, Mayo, and other hospitals, where they are currently receiving treatment. Hospital sources have claimed the incident was a "natural accident," attributing it to unforeseen mechanical failure. So far, no legal action has been taken by the victims or their families.
