Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James celebrated his 40th birthday this week, and a video of him rapping to a Kendrick Lamar song quickly became a viral sensation on social media.

The clip, shared online by NFR Podcast, features James enjoying the music at his party alongside notable attendees, including his wife Savannah James, NBA player Draymond Green, and his business partner Maverick Carter.

James wowed fans with his flawless delivery of the song’s lyrics. Social media users expressed both surprise and amusement at his performance.

“This song is for people that put in the work to become the greatest,” one fan commented.

“Somebody tell him he is not him outside basketball court,” another joked.

“You know how good your song gotta be for LeBron to actually know the words to your song,” a fan added.

“He must got the lyrics taped to the other side of that laptop,” a commenter humorously suggested.

“Seeing LeBron rap every word to Kendrick proves he's still got that same energy he had in his 20s - age really is just a number for him,” a fan noted.

Although James has had a close relationship with rapper Drake in the past, who has been in a public feud with Kendrick Lamar, he has clarified his position on the matter, according to Complex.

The feud between the two rappers escalated through diss tracks, with many celebrities taking sides. James appeared to align with Lamar, even attending one of his concerts.

As he turns 40, James continues to be a powerhouse in the NBA, leading the Lakers in their quest for another championship title.
